Family members, friends and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. This program is specifically designed for those who prefer to learn in a group environment with feedback from an instructor. This program also can be a non-credentialed option for teaching CPR to middle and high school aged students in school settings. This program can be used in a variety of creative ways to teach lifesaving CPR skills to communities.

Neighborhood or condo association meeting activity
Parent / teacher meeting program
Course Features
The Family & Friends CPR program features a classroom-based course that can be taught by an AHA Instructor or led by a facilitator (such as a community member, family member or friend) who wishes to teach lifesaving CPR skills to others. This course is video-led and includes skills practice throughout.
Course topics can be presented together or taught separately as stand-alone modules:
• Adult Hands-Only™ CPR
• Adult AED use
• Child CPR
• Infant CPR
• Adult, child and infant relief of choking
Each student receives high-quality course materials for ongoing reference. This course does not provide a course completion card; however, students receive a tear-out Participation Card in their student manual.
